"A hint of Eliot and Yeats with a bit of Berkoff too and the occasional hint of Under Milk Wood.

There are gems here. Smothers Day - stunning, beautiful, tender, wistful and choking.

There’s not a beat out of place… a proper poet."

Alistair McGowan

"An evocative, funny, sometimes searing, sometimes poignant collection of poems about the life of a Northern Lass.

From first sexual experiences to ‘Smothers Day’ - a beautiful poem exploring caring for a parent with Dementia

- Moore displays her trademark wit whether on the slow ‘pickling’ of women from an early age,

or the ‘Jam and Cream Dads’ who draw the long straw of parenthood.

Once again, she proves herself a voice for women everywhere,

and if, as she says, ‘hands are how we love’ - give this woman a round of applause."

Ellen Taylor, screen writer

Such beautifully detailed, evocative, work, that had me weeping

and clutching my chest for the loss of a naive past and the pain of an exhausted present.
